Update: Austin Boutique Crawl-Meet Your Austin Bloggers

What a fun day to meet some of the fine young women who are spreading the word about Austin Fashion. The industry is growing and thriving and there is plenty of opportunity for all the creativity to be shared across the internet. We enjoyed making a fun belt made out of vintage ties. The food was great and got some fab gifts in the swag bag…bloggers also go to shop from the great selection of Etsy items. Below are some pictures from the brunch.

During quiet times, I sometimes reflect how Fashionably Austin has changed my life and the life of my business partner Melissa. It amazes me about the power of the internet. What a perfect media platform to get fashion info to all who love it. (I remember when I was trying to get a fashion segment on tv…they thought I was nuts!)

I’m sure I’m not the only one working at silly hours writing, tweeting and in my case editing video and listening to my husband snore upstairs. And then think…if anyone actually DID see what I was wearing I would be scarred for life…or maybe my daughter would be more horrified. This scene is probably more common place for most internet bloggers and thankfully we will be more fashionably dressed on Friday, March 12.

You will get a chance to meet the fine internet Austin fashion bloggers on Friday AND shop with with the group. 2nd Street has offered boutique crawlers a discount and several of the shops will be serving food and drinks. If you can’t make it, follow on Twitter @newmediafashion

The boutique crawl starts at 12:30 p.m. at Eliza Page, where she will be offering champagne. The event will be over by 6:30, and if anyone is hungry afterward, take advantage of the 50% off appetizers at Cru (back on 2nd Street.)
