Stitch Texas Facility

A good sign that the Austin fashion scene is thriving is when a new fashion design and technical development firm is expanding.  Stitch Texas has moved their facility to the heart of Austin’s cultural district in the 78704 zip code.  The 4,400 square foot space houses state-of-the-art equipment for the design and manufacturing of sewn goods and provides living-wage jobs.  It also provides semi-annual professional development workshops.

“We wouldn’t be where we are as a company if it weren’t for Stitch Texas. Their dedication to ours and every brand makes us feel like they are a part of our own team. From initial concept through production, Stitch keeps our process as streamlined yet detailed as possible so we can produce beautiful apparel right here in Austin”, said  Stephanie Beard, founder, esby apparel.

The Grand Opening party is set for July 8 and is open to the public.  You’re meet the facility staff, see demonstrations, learn about Stitch Austin services, and shop with Austin-based brands. Participating designers include esby apparel, Angie’s Sweatshop, Little Day Dresses, Rebekah Victoria Designs and ANNEMARIE.  From dresses to knitwear, swimwear to accessories, the designers showing their work represent a fabulous cross-section of the kind of design work Stitch Texas helps to cultivate in Austin and beyond.

Stitch Texas has also invited nearby businesses to share their services and offer raffle prizes during the Grand Opening Party. Creative Side Jewelry Academy, ANNEMARIE, Everyday Minerals, Steve Dement Photography and more will have goodies to win!

Hope to see you all there!    Stitch Texas is now located at 321 West Ben White, Suite, Suite 112, Austin, TX 78704.

It was very apparent that Cheryl was going to be in the fashion business at a very young age. She enjoyed every aspect of the fashion industry from styling to sewing . What a wonderful journey is has been for this true fashion trailblazer! Cheryl majored in Fashion Merchandising at Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois where she was active in departmental events and found a particular interest in fashion show production. She assisted creating large runway shows and found it was easy and fulfilling. She also worked in a small fashion boutique where she used her natural love of sales and people skills to build a loyal clientele. But upon graduation, Dallas, TX was her target city to live to expand her fashion career.
