Top Austin Model Style Show Features New Young Runway Talent

by | April 5th, 2017

The Top Austin Model platform, now in its 7th year, allows young, fresh and energetic models a place to learn all aspects of the business.  From runway training to the figuring out the best angles for the camera at a photo shoot, founder Brianna Fleet knows how to take a timid wanna-be-model into a confident model with potential to get work.  For Fleet, this camp and her Top Austin Model competition is just another way to stay locally plugged in.  “I believe the increased interest in Top Austin Model is a product of our investment in the Austin fashion community and a result of a growing local industry”, added Fleet.

During the recent Spring Training Camp, Top Austin Model All Stars Shelly-Ann Honeghan and Elizabeth Lestina taught each model how to pose in front of the camera and on the runway.  The Flicker Photo Booth helped show the girls best angles.  Vanity Salon and Baby Face Salons created beauty looks with wardrobe styled by Heartshaped Creative and Aysa Province Style for on-location shoots with Pamela Hults and Todd White.

To conclude the model camp, the models made their runway debut in front of a packed crowd at The Red Room wearing Austin fashions by Cotone, Grit & Grace, and Sugar Gay Isber Designs. Friends and family cheered their hometown gal as they took to the runway.

About

It was very apparent that Cheryl was going to be in the fashion business at a very young age. She enjoyed every aspect of the fashion industry from styling to sewing . What a wonderful journey is has been for this true fashion trailblazer! Cheryl majored in Fashion Merchandising at Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois where she was active in departmental events and found a particular interest in fashion show production. She assisted creating large runway shows and found it was easy and fulfilling. She also worked in a small fashion boutique where she used her natural love of sales and people skills to build a loyal clientele. But upon graduation, Dallas, TX was her target city to live to expand her fashion career.
